The public is invited to attend our meetings and programs. This season, however, due to the coronavirus, we have made some adjustments to our schedule.

Have items to donate? Leave them on the History House Porch beginning June 15.
Saturday, July 24, 2p,Local author Janet Carper will talk about her book “The Weidners in Wartime” at the Porter Town Hall.

OPEN HOUSE at the Parsonsfield Old Townhouse c.1832 and at the Parsonsfield Union Church across the road. Near the corner of Merrill Hill Road and Middle Road. Exhibits, cemetery walk, refreshments. As per Maine CDC guidelines, please wear a mask. These buildings are only open once a year to the public. Don’t miss your chance!
Sunday, September 5, 1-3 pmOld Porter Meeting House OPEN HOUSE. Don’t miss this once a year opportunity to tour this very special historic building.
Sunday, September 12 , 1-4pmHistory House Open. Last chance to see our exhibit: 1820: Maine Statehood: a local view. Come tour the house, view exhibits and spend some time browsing our scrapbooks!
Saturday, Sept 18, 2pmMeeting at Garner Island. Enter from Elm Street in Kezar Falls Village. Program: History of Garner Island & cottage – presented by owner Linda Griffin.
Saturday, October 23, 2 pmMeeting (last of the year). Program: Author Ann Gass will speak about her newest book: “We Demand”.
Also drawing for winner of our beautiful flowered quilt.
Saturday, November 13, 1 pmMeeting and annual Thanksgiving Pot-luck luncheon HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to continuing concern about COVID 19 and potential effects on some of our more susceptible members .

Also: We are raffling off a beautiful multi-colored flowery quilt. TICKETS FOR SALE AT EVENTS UNTIL OCTOBER 23.
